The June 2026 Nintendo Direct leaned hard on Switch 2 ports of games that are already out elsewhere. If you own a gaming PC, here's the catch the trailers won't tell you: most of these are available right now for a fraction of the eShop price. We compared 200+ verified stores to find the cheapest way in.
Switch 2 ports already cheaper on PC
| Game | Switch 2 launch | Lowest PC price |
|---|---|---|
| Lies of P | Aug 6, 2026 | from $6.90 |
| Dragon's Dogma 2 | Oct 9, 2026 | from $11.41 |
| Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 | Holiday 2026 | from $19.23 |
| Metaphor: ReFantazio | Nov 12, 2026 | from $20.93 |
| Stellar Blade | Later in 2026 | from $39.74 |
Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 and Onimusha: Way of the Sword are also Switch 2-bound, and DMC5 in particular is a regular fixture in PC key deals β worth a look if you missed it.
Why are the PC versions so much cheaper?
Two reasons. First, these games have been on PC for a while, so prices have settled far below a brand-new console port. Second, PC key marketplaces compete on price in a way first-party eShops never do β the same game, the same platform, for less. For a freshly ported title on Switch 2 you'll usually pay close to full RRP; on PC you're picking from dozens of competing sellers.
FAQ
Are these the same games as the Switch 2 versions?
Yes β same games on PC, often with better performance and mod support. The Switch 2 ports add portability, but you pay a premium for it.
