Cookies & Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your currency, measure how the site is used, and credit visits that come from our ads. We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals.

Strictly necessary: your login session and your selected currency. The site cannot work without them.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 cookies whose names start with _ga, used to understand which pages and deals people use.
Advertising and attribution: _gcl_aw and _gcl_au from Google Ads, used to credit ad clicks, plus gd_measurement, our own first-party cookie (30 minutes) that links a click to the same Google Analytics session.

How to manage or opt out

Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge), or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To ask about data we hold about you, email [email protected].

Advertising & Remarketing

We use Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited our site before (remarketing). These services set cookies or use similar technologies on your device.

We may also share a securely hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address with Google for ad measurement purposes (enhanced conversions). The hashed value cannot be used to read your email address.

This site does not run a cookie consent pop-up. You can block or delete the cookies described below in your browser settings at any time, and Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Sharing Your Info

We don't sell your personal information. Sometimes we share data with trusted partners who help us run the site, but they're only allowed to use it for our purposes.

Browser Extension (DealNest Price Hunter)

Our browser extension, DealNest Price Hunter, compares game prices while you browse supported store pages. This section explains exactly what the extension does with your data.

What the extension collects

An anonymous install ID — a randomly generated UUID that is not linked to your Google account or any other identity
Anonymous usage events, such as which features are switched on and how many price comparisons were run
The currency and region you choose in the extension settings, stored locally in your browser through chrome.storage

What the extension never collects

Your browsing history or the pages you visit
Account credentials, logins or passwords
Payment details, or any other personally identifiable information

Permissions we request and why

storage — remembers your settings, your fold preference and cached results inside your browser
activeTab — reads only the game page you currently have open when you interact with the extension
scripting — injects the price bar into that page
Host permissions — limited to the supported store pages and price sources the extension queries; it does not run on unrelated sites

Where the data goes

Anonymous usage events are sent to our backend endpoint (POST /api/extension/event) and forwarded straight to Google Analytics 4. They are never written to our business database, and the install ID cannot be traced back to an individual.

Turning collection off

Usage statistics are on by default so we can tell which features are useful, but you can switch them off at any time in the extension settings. Uninstalling the extension stops all collection immediately.
