BOMBANANA! is a co-op multiplayer game from Lefto Studio for exactly three players. Each round assigns asymmetric roles: Blind Monkey cannot see the bomb but can touch it; Mute Monkey is the only one who can read the bomb disposal manual but cannot speak; Deaf Monkey can see the bomb and teammates but hears nothing. No player has complete information, so the squad must invent its own communication method using gestures, the Emote wheel, voice chat where possible, and slapping. The bomb explodes unless the three monkeys work together. The game includes Campaign, Endless, and Custom modes, Puzzle Modules, environmental hazards, and a Color Blind Mode.

Asymmetric Monkey Roles

Blind Monkey cannot see the bomb, cannot see colors, and cannot read screens, but can touch the bomb. Mute Monkey alone reads the bomb disposal manual yet cannot tell teammates what it says. Deaf Monkey sees the bomb and friends as they gesture, but hears no audio. Players point, wave, gesture, flail, use the Emote wheel, or slap. Voice Chat only works for some monkeys. BOMBANANA! warns of misunderstanding, unjust accusations, and desperate body language. There is no imposed method: wave, shout, or throw bananas. Working out communication is the squad's job.

Campaign, Endless, and Custom Modes

BOMBANANA! has three modes. Campaign offers 30 handcrafted levels with increasing difficulty. Endless uses procedurally generated, wave-based levels that keep getting harder. Custom lets players create their own challenge by adjusting bomb difficulty, the timer, module types, environmental hazards, and how many mistakes are allowed. A Level System unlocks new levels when you defuse the bomb; the better you get, the harder they are. Exactly three monkeys are required—no more, no less. The game modes support different play sessions, from scripted stages to adjustable bomb rules.

Puzzle Modules and Environmental Hazards

Each bomb contains different Puzzle Modules with different rules, which induce different kinds of panic. Environmental Hazards include power outages, obstructions, and loud interruptions. Defusal locations include the trusty minivan and a plane. Color Blind Mode adapts colors across objects and the UI for two types of color blindness, so the Blind Monkey can still help defuse a bomb. Slapping is listed as an essential feature. These elements change how teams diagnose modules, handle interruptions, and recover from mistakes during a round.
